About JIT-IEEE Student Branch:

       Jansons Institute of Technology IEEE Student Branch is established in the year 2012.  The student branch is active with 25 IEEE student members.  The Student Branch Counselor is Dr.S. Elangovan, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Vision:

JIT IEEE Student Branch members will learn, educate, network and apply the standards, technology and human values in local and international opportunities and will be showcasing them as complete professionals.

Mission:

  • To organize technical meetings of high quality and relevance and facilitate professional networks among its fellow members in the student branch, section, Region and MGA level.
  • Encourage youth to be proactive and take the responsibility, promotes the process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge on technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity
  • Organize and support international events at student branch
  • Use the IEEE worldwide network to help students to exchange program or other practical assignments abroad.

Achievements:

  • Received IEEE MAS Student Activities Committee Award for three consecutive years (2018, 2017 and 2016) from IEEE Madras Section during the Annual meet of the section.
  • Received an appreciation certificate for hosting IEEE Coimbatore Hub Congress 2016 from IEEE Madras Section.

JIT IEEE SB Volunteers @ Section and India Council:

  • Mr.R. Ramanarayanan, IV year CSE is the Outreach Ambassador for IEEE Technology Engineering and Management Society of IEEE India Council for the year 2019.
  • Mr.R. Ramanarayanan, IV year CSE is the Campus Ambassador for India’s Premier Technical Symposium Computer Science India Symposium 2019(CSIS ’19) of IEEE Computer Society.
  • Mr.R. Ramanarayanan, IV year CSE has been selected as Ambassador for IEEE Day Celebration for IEEE Madras Section by the Global team of IEEE Day celebrations.
  • Ms.M. Sri Varshini, III year ECE is a member of Student Coordination team of IEEE India Council for the year 2019 – 2020.
  • Ms.H. Harsha, IV year ECE   has been selected as Ambassador for IEEE Day Celebration for IEEE Madras Section by the Global team of IEEE Day celebrations.
