Ramanarayanan.R is an active IEEE Student Member currently pursuing his final year of Under Graduation in Computer Science and Engineering at Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.He is a vibrant volunteer of IEEE for the past two years and is volunteering for several events,professional societies and has organized several events in his college Student Branch, who is an Alumnus of Sainik School-Amaravthinagar.
He was part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) between 2009 and 2015 and has attended several CATC Camps and Adventure Activities as part of his training,and has “A” Certificate from Navy and “B” Certificate from Army.In the academic year 2013-2014, he served as School Band Vice Captain and was part of the team selected for participating at Republic Day Parade for the year 2015 at New Delhi. He was part of Organising committee of Navo Bemus’16,A State level Quiz Competition.He Also has won Second prize in First Round of Robo Tryst’15 at zonal level and Holds Ham Radio Restricted grade Licence with Call Sign “VU3ZRR” .
He Joined IEEE in the year 2017 and started his volunteership with Student Branch as Spectrum Coordinator.He chanellised Spectrum discussion and has taken initiative to conduct online spectrum quiz on monthly basis to make knowledge sharing and ensure that IEEE basic resources are Utilised.He served as Secretary for the Student Branch in the academic year 2018-2019 and it was under his leadership various committees were formed to run the Student Branch Vibrantly which ultimately Lead the student branch members to volunteer for national councils, International events at various levels and he took initiatives to conduct talks,seminars,workshops in multiple fold for the benefits of Student Branch Members.He represented Jansons Institute of Technology IEEE Student Branch at Annual General Meeting of IEEE Madras section in Anna University Chennai and received Students Activities Committee’s Award for the Third Consecutive Year on Febraury 2019. He is the current Chairperson of JIT-IEEE Student Branch.
He is also an Outreach Ambassador for Technology Engineering and Management Society (TEMS) of IEEE in India. He was the Campus Ambassador at Jansons Institute of Technology for Computer Science India Symposium’19 (CSIS’19) . He is one of the IEEE Day Ambassadors of Madras Section for IEEE Day 2019 Celebrations World Wide,who has recently become part of Publicity Team of the Event Comienzo and the Program Chair of Students Professional Awareness Conference 2019 (SPAC’19) at Jansons Institute of Technology.
